Art. 167 Finance
The Federal Assembly determines the expenditure of the Confederation, adopt the budget and approve the federal accounts.

DraftThe Federal Council adopts the budget with the integrated task and financial plan, every year in late summer.
Finance committeesThe finance committees of both chambers examine it with their subcommittees.
DecisionBoth chambers adopt the budget in the winter session. It is not subject to a referendum.
AccountsThe following summer, the chambers approve the federal accounts.
